June 28, 2008 ~ Fine Southern Living

June 28, 2008. This day was artistically inspiring. Such beautiful architecture that is a rarity in modern times. Such attention to detail! Only the photos do these homes justice.
The first museum home was the Longwood Museum. Its the largest octagonal home in American and it was never completed....

The second museum home we visited was the William Johnson House. A museum around the perspective of a free black man in Natchez. The museum is organized around the diary of William Johnson. It was moving to read his side of the story and to see how this free black man lived and the tragic way he died.
The next home was Stanton Hall. A magnificent Greek Revival mansion where no expense was spared.

The final home of the day was the Rosalie Mansion. A beautiful museum home with a nice view of the Mississippi River.
