June 25, 2008 ~ From the Window to the Wall

June 25, 2008. Since we achieved the fine art of re-pointing brick Jon said we were ready to learn how to lay brick. Again, it begins with the mortar. With a large pile of spare bricks (of which Jon can manifest at a moments notice), and a wooden plank we built our own wall. We were excited to build it, but even more excited to knock it down.
That afternoon, Super Dave did a window demonstration to give us an example of the work we’d be doing in the upcoming weeks. He introduced the various parts of the windows and how to date a window based on them. We’ll be repairing the windows in one of the PRC homes so Super Dave introduced us to the tools we’ll be using and the proper way to use them.
